How does the Qibla compass work?

Qabasi calculates the Qibla bearing from your GPS coordinates to the Kaaba (21.4225° N, 39.8262° E) using the great-circle (shortest-distance) formula on a spherical Earth model. Your device's magnetometer then provides the heading, and the compass rotates to keep the Kaaba icon aimed at the actual direction. For best results, calibrate your phone's compass by moving it in a figure-8 motion and stay clear of magnetic objects (laptops, speakers, metal desks).
